So I imagine the time lapse photography is going to pop up occasionally on this site. It seems to be the new “in” thing to do with an intervalometer and your DSLR. Most of the time, they really aren’t that interesting. Clouds moving by, lights going on and off. Ho Hum.

For me, this one is a bit different. One of those time lapses that have a visual spark that makes you keep watching. And yes, it’s shot on a Nikon. And yes, there is a tutorial (see below). One that can be modified for any DSLR. Segments of this time lapse were also used for the opening title sequence on the Tonight Show. Back when this guy named Conan used to be the host. Oh, so long ago – and yes Coco, you are missed. I guess that’s another reason I decided to post this. Proof that you can get paid to do this kind of thing.

The video was shot by Nick Campbell of GreyScaleGorilla. Here’s the link (click here) to the tutorial on his website.
