Hungarian production crew PixelFilm produced this cool music video. Director Peter Tokay followed up with us to provide this brief production write-up, enjoy!
The Mofa music video was shot using two Canon 5D Mark II cameras in one day. We used the following lenses: 15mm, 17-40mm, 50mm, 100mm, 100mm macro and 200mm. We also used a dolly and jimmyjib as well as smoke machine, lots of lights and props.
The initial concept was the tennis clothes that the band wear throughout the clip. Then came the idea that the story of the clip should contrast their appearance, and not be a typically trendy clip, but rather a somewhat disturbing and unconventional one. We filmed both the interiors and the exteriors in and around a castle which was dressed entirely by our production designers. Even the sword in the room the band was filmed in was placed there by our team.
The post-production which consisted of editing, grading and VFX was completed in around two to three weeks. Unfortunately, our VXF team is not willing to disclose the production specifics, but it is obviously highly saturated as they did not refrain from colourful imagery.
The band’s management, who are German, requested to work with our Hungarian crew based on our previous work on this and one other production.
Kind Regards,
Peter Tokay
Director
