CANON’S NEW XF305 AND XF300 Cameras

Canon USA has posted the official press release concerning their A1 replacement cameras. Quite impressive, though these are believed to be the cameras with the teeny 1/3 chips. Still, they have a number of desirable features – recording to CF cards, 50 Mbps recording, 4:2:2 color space, native 1920×1080 recording and a slew of other features. The 1/3 inch chip size, though not referenced in the press release should garner a resounding, “Wha?!!” from a lot of Canon lovers. Read on…
